CPR/First Aid, BLS for Healthcare Providers, HeartCode Skills

American Heart Association's Heartsaver Courses

The AHA's CPR/First Aid training equips participants with the essential skills to respond to and manage medical emergencies. This course is designed for individuals with little or no medical training who need a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, as well as anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

  •  Adult CPR and AED Use: Perform CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) on adults.
  • Opioid-Associated Life-Threatening Emergencies: Respond to opioid overdoses with naloxone administration.

Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Professional

The American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Professionals course is designed to train participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) effectively. This course is tailored for healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel who need to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills.

  • Choking Relief: Techniques to relieve foreign-body airway obstruction in adults and infants.

HeartCode (BLS)

This course offers a blended learning experience. We offer the hands-on Heartcode skills testing portion of the American Heart Association's BLS course. 

  • Scheduling: Once you complete the online theoretical portion, you can schedule a convenient time for your in-person skills testing session.
  • Hands-On Practice: During the session, you will practice essential CPR and AED skills.
  • Evaluation: You will demonstrate your proficiency in performing CPR and using an AED.
